Blooming River
This piece was created during an essentially painful, yet rebirthing moment of my life.
In the midst of piecing myself back together, I made a decision: To consciously create moments of joy.
One of those moments was a Galentine’s dinner I hosted for my beautiful girls.
I made each of them a personalized card with a quote, and “Blooming River” was the very first piece I crafted.
That’s why you’ll see the messy blend of dark and light colors, where the power of warm colors and blooming flowers ( my creation of joy) is cornering the heavy tones.
It’s a reflection of what I was living through — the beauty & chaos of a painful rebirth, and the quiet truth that even in the hardest times, you can bring light in — if you choose to.
I hope this piece offers you the same kind of visual therapy that I needed when I made it.
