Terracotta Tranquility is the very first art piece I created on my journey of finding my creative spark again and focusing on myself after a long period of unconscious over-giving and living for the needs of others. Discovering that this is not a noble act—although I was raised to believe it was—and that it can be a perfect camouflage for avoiding facing and working on my own things was truly an eye-opener.
Slowly unlearning this behavior, along with many other ongoing processes, I began to rediscover my spark through new color obsessions. At that moment, it was terracotta—a color that surrounded me in my interior and dominated my wardrobe as the leading “queen.” Terracotta Tranquility was born in the midst of this personal discovery, and also from a desire to perfectly match my apartment interior.
