Built on a rising desire for at-home experiences that feel as exciting, social, and effortless as going out, MixLab was created to bring the bar home—offering a world of cocktails, culture, and discovery at your fingertips.
APPROACH & RESULTS
Working with Bacardi as a designer at SideChef, we shaped a digital destination designed to demystify mixology, spark creativity, and make cocktail moments more accessible, interactive, and personal for a new generation of drinkers.
The result is a cocktail hub that invites users to explore, learn, and shop in one seamless journey—whether discovering exclusive recipes, browsing by mood or occasion, or using My Bar to unlock drinks they can make with what’s already in their kitchen.
We crafted a design identity rooted in modern fun, elevated by Bacardi’s signature sophistication. A vibrant sub-palette injects energy and playfulness, while typography, UI patterns, motion, and photography work together to communicate clarity, warmth, and a sense of celebration.
Because MixLab is more than a tool—it’s an experience.

From visual identity to UX flows, the design system was created holistically, ensuring every interaction feels intuitive, inviting, and unmistakably Bacardi. A connected ecosystem of shoppable features, campaigns, and curated content empowers consumers while strengthening Bacardi’s global digital presence.
MixLab stands as a new kind of cocktail companion—warm, modern, and culturally attuned—bringing the joy of mixology to the moments and people that matter most.
